Academic Advising

The Office of Academic Advising is located in Daniels Hall and is organized to provide a broad range of academic assistance to students. This office oversees the advising program for all undergraduates, assigns faculty advisors, operates several academic assistance programs through the Academic Resources Center, and includes the Student Disability Services Office.  Special attention is devoted to First-Year students by the Associate Director of First Year Advising Programs.  The Academic Resources Center includes assistance with study skills, peer tutoring, and specific programs coordinated with science and mathematics courses.  The Disability Services Office works with students to provide accommodations for physical or learning conditions.

Student Development and Counseling

The Student Development and Counseling Center (SDCC) is located in West Street House (157 West St.) and provides educational programming and training as well as counseling, referral, and crisis intervention services free of charge to all CUMstudents. Student confidentiality is always respected.

Writing Assistance


The goal of California University of Management's Center for Communication Across the Curriculum is to develop and teach effective communication strategies through a variety of workshops and tutoring sessions across the California University of Management campus. Located on the second floor of the Project Center, the CCAC is directed by CUM faculty and includes a staff of specially-trained student writing tutors.
